New Forest Triathlon Centre opens

Sandy Balls Holiday Centre, venue for the Forestman iron distance triathlon, has opened its brand new triathlon centre. The tape was cut by representatives of Triathlon England, who were attending a board meeting at the venue.

This exciting development will be a real boost for triathletes in the south of England, as all the facilities at Sandy Balls will be at the disposal of clubs & athletes, looking to fine tune their training.

An endless pool is being installed which, together with the centre's existing indoor pool will cater for swim training. Then there's nearby Ellingham Lake - used for several races & the centre's open water training facility. Sandy' Balls's high grade spa facilities & gym complex complete the picture offering everything an athlete could need.

Outdoors TV will be media parters to the facility & will be basing much of its in house triathlon programming at the centre.
